Barclays Premier League newcomers Burnley have continued their spending spree with the signing of Manchester United reserve team defender Richard Ecke

He made his debut for the Old Trafford outfit as a substitute in an FA Cup fourth-round tie against Tottenham last season. The right-back becomes Burnley's fifth summer signing, following the purchases of defenders Tyrone Mears,David Edgar and Brian Easton, as well as Scotland striker Steven Fletcher.
