The Bulgarian did not convince entirely during his first campaign, but 'Captain Marvel' thinks the time is right for him to shine...Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has expressed confidence in Dimitar Berbatov's ability to deliver next season.
Berbatov has divided opinion since his switch to Old Trafford last season, but Robson believes that the Bulgarian international will prove his worth during the coming campaign.
Speaking to The Mirror, Robson said, "Berbatov is a quality player and I think this coming season we'll see him come into his own.
"It's time for him to step forward and show what he can really do. With [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez gone, United will be looking for others to lead the way and I'm sure Berbatov can become the main man.
"It often takes players time to settle at Old Trafford and learn to cope with the expectations. Some very good players never made it at United.
"But I am sure Berbatov will prove himself a top player for United."
Berbatov made 43 appearances for United last season, scoring 14 goals.
