Nani: I Will Improve At Manchester United This Season

Manchester United's Nani is hoping for an improved season, after getting on the scoresheet against Malaysia.

Nani scored the second in a 3-2 win over a Malaysia XI, and after the match, he said that he would improve on his performances during the past two campaigns.

He told MUTV, "I enjoyed it and I hope to do more.

"I think that this season I can do better than the last two seasons. I’m working towards that.

"I am very happy to be here. I have the conditions to score more goals.

"I know that if I work hard every day and every game I can do much better, and I hope to score more goals this season."

After an encouraging start to his United career, Nani saw his opportunities dwindle last season, making just 31 appearances in all competitions.

Manchester United 2009/10 Prediction

2008/09 was a great season for Manchester United, winning the Premier League for the third season in a row, becoming the World club cup champions and taking the Carling Cup for the third time as well.

However since the defeat in the Champions League final in May, Manchester United have been rocked by bad news. Firstly star player Cristiano Ronaldo left for Real Madrid, then fan favorite Carlos Tevez left for local rivals Manchester City and thirdly rumor's abound that Owen Hargreaves will not be back before January.

With new signings Antonio Valencia, Gabriel Obertan and Michael Owen not setting the world alight many United fans approach the new season with trepidation.

Whilst the teams defense looks very solid, their appears to be a lack of goals from midfield and with Berbatov being a huge disappointment in his first season he will need to up his game immensely to get the 30 goals a season that his transfer fee merits.

Despite this United do still have enough talent to compete for the title but will they make it number 4?
